If you are lucky your film will work at the box office,if you are not it on satellite. If it’s a terrible film,it will not work anywhere. Then you learn from the experience that yeh picture hi kharab thi.

Parineeti Chopra

She’s been basking in the spotlight with the release of Kesari and has four upcoming movies to boot. PARINEETI CHOPRA speaks candidly about working with Arjun Kapoor, balancing her personal and professional life and much more, in conversation with Manpreet Kaur Hora.

Before doing a film, do you think about what it would do for you and your career?

I think a lot about such things before starting a movie. At times it works, at times it doesn’t, everyone does that. The nature of business is such that for some, their decision work and for some, it doesn’t. When I was shooting for Golmaal, I used to think, ‘Oh my God, what is happening with the shoot?’ I used to not get lot of things, but it resonated so much with the audience that it was one of my biggest hits. But sometimes, Namaste England for example, the expectations were completely different and it didn’t resonate with the audience and it didn’t work. You always have hope as an actor that from this film this will happen, that’s the nature of the game.

How do you cope with failure? There are films which are really good but unfortunately didn’t work, let’s say Bindu. It was a good film but it didn’t work.
