Hotheaded rocker Rod Stewart could get socked with jail time and a hefty fine if convicted of punching a security guard during a New Year’s Eve dustup!

The “Maggie May” singer, 75, and his 39-year-old son, Sean, were charged with battery after a squabble with guard Jessie Dixon at the Breakers resort in Palm Beach, Fla., police said.

After the Stewarts and their kids were denied entrance to a private children’s party, Dixon said the group “began to get loud and cause a scene.”
