FORMER Today co-host Kathie Lee Gifford was such a hit guesting on her old morning show, network bigwigs are begging the wine-swigging chatterbox to come back and save them from a disastrous ratings slide!
On a surprise Nov. 12 appearance, Kathie Lee, 66, stole the spotlight from co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager as they clinked glasses and gabbed about what she’d been doing since moving to Nashville after leaving the show seven months ago.
Now, show bosses are convinced she’s the spark they need to keep the once-top breakfast show from plummeting into a ratings abyss that followed the booting of sex scandal-scarred anchor Matt Lauer in 2017.
