Phuket’s Kata Rocks injects fun into spas.

THE DEAL: Tucked within a quiet alcove amidst the hustle and bustle of Kata Beach’s tourist strip is Kata Rocks, an all-villa resort and residence known for its beachside dining, pool parties, and the annual Superyacht Rendezvous. Though the party vibes are contained outside the heavy doors of its Infinity Luxury Spa, Kata Rocks’ dedication to offering something different is prevalent even in this sanctuary. Its post-treatment refreshment list, for instance, has the usual ginger and green teas, but also lemon sorbet, banana bread, and for an extra cost, champagne and Prosecco.

The spa centers around four pillars: being uniquely Thai, anti-aging, recovery, and detox. Treatments cater to everyone from those seeking serious pampering to the time-pressed. The wide menu impresses with express touch-ups, 60 to 120-minute treatments, full-day journeys with healthy meals in between, as well as three- to five-day retreats and juice detoxes.
