An 8 Days Feli Tale
8 Days
|September 13, 2018
FELICIA CHIN is one of our favourite cover girls — we’ve literally seen the actress grow from Star Search ingénue to Mediacorp Princess to (almost) a blushing bride. Here’s the thing, though: we’ve profiled her so many times over the years, what else is there to learn about her? But as we find out in her last 8 DAYS cover story (for print at least), our lovely Feli’s story is far from over.
Felicia Chin is not ready to say goodbye to us yet. We go way back with Felicia. 18-covers-in-the past-14-years-kind-of back. I’ve been meeting Feli on and off for more than a decade now. The first time I profiled the 2003 Star Search champ for this magazine was in 2007, some 11 years ago. She was just 23, and a delightfully wholesome and unprocessed young actress — she would playfully whack me on the arm every time she laughed, which was a lot. She had just hit her stride in her career and was more than holding her own against Ah Ges Tay Ping Hui and Li Nanxing, both of whom she romanced on screen. She was on the express lane to stardom and I would go on to describe her as an Energizer Bunny, a term that may not be
