English singer songwriter BIRDY shies away from the public eye so much, the 20-year old ‘Skinny Love’ hitmaker just wants to flee when she hears her own tunes at Starbucks.
8 DAYS: You recently wrapped your debut Asian tour. Any culture shocks?
BIRDY: It kind of feels like the future coming here (laughs). The cities that I’ve been to are so modern and there’s so much going on. It’s so different to where I grew up [in the Hampshire countryside in the UK]. The food is also so different. In Japan, I’d have noodles and miso soup for breakfast — that’s crazy for me. I’ve had so much noodles since I’ve been to Asia. (Laughs)
