While local aircraft can be spotted all across Russia, several major airlines hold a mix of national and foreign planes in their fleets.

Viktor Kladov, Director for International Cooperation and Regional Policy of the State Corporation Rostec recently shared details of his firm’s plans to have domestic operations only with Russian aircraft by the end of this decade.
As if on cue, soon after Kladov’s statement, Azimuth Airlines confirmed that it will take delivery of Russia’s first Airbus A220. the airline has also signed a memorandum of understanding for 10 Superjet (SSJ-100), aircraft. Red Wings and Aurora also signed agreements outlining the delivery of 25 and 8 DJs, respectively. Meanwhile, Rossiya Airlines agreed on a deal for 15 units of the type.
