PRINCESS HAS UNVEILED five new models that will be launched over the coming year, with three of the models – Y85, V78 and F45 – provisionally targeted to be on display at Boot Dusseldorf in January 2019.
The Y85 is expected to herald a new era for the Y Class motor yachts when it joins the Y75 and Y88, currently the yard’s biggest model after the flagship M Class superyachts.
The Y85 is designed by Princess Design Studio in collaboration with long-standing naval architects Olesinksi and Italian styling house Pininfarina, and has a predicted top speed of 33 knots with twin MAN V12 1,900mhp engines. The deep-V hull developed with Olesinksi is key to this performance, with the design refined to improve fuel efficiency by 13 per cent compared to the model replaced by the Y85.
