Isuzu D-Max V Cross - More Chrome, Bling For India's Favourite Pick-Up
Auto Today
|September 2019
More bling, and slightly better interiors for India’s favourite pick-up truck! We chuck up roosters tails under the premise of trying it out!
It’s a little hard to believe that the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross has been around for only a little over three years. It’s a short span considering that in that time, the V-Cross managed to claim a space long coveted by the homegrown ute experts; the niche lifestyle utility space. Despite a virtual monopoly in the space, Isuzu has ensured minor nips and tucks to the existing model almost on a yearly basis. This year the update has been a little more comprehensive, the kind you usually get right before a new generation. Besides, whoever heard of someone turning down a chance to spend a few days in the V-Cross even if it is mostly within the confines of the concrete jungle. Interestingly, even though the 2019 D-Max V-Cross gets a new motor paired with a new (to the V-Cross) auto-box, the one we are testing today is the Z High Variant which uses the tried and tested 2.5-litre turbo-diesel mill. If it’s the auto box you’re interested in, we should get one in soon enough for a full-blown first drive. As far as this one goes, though, changes are mostly cosmetic.
