Kim English – Capturing the moment
International Artist
|August - September 2020
In Colorado, we had a room in our studio that we used for model sessions. The way the light would shine in could put some excitement into an otherwise ordinary scene.

Rummage Bag, oil, 15 x 18 (38 x 46 cm)
Sometimes life seems to move so fast, that if I can just capture a moment, a little piece of this world, maybe it can help slow things down to a pace that I can appreciate. I don’t know why I seem to want to hold on to things that are so momentary. I guess I just want to take a closer look at what we sometimes fail to notice. That's why I paint. However, what things look like is only part of the picture.
