WITH WATER SCARCITY LOOMING LARGER THAN EVER BEFORE, TODAY’S PRODUCT LINES IN THE FAUCET INDUSTRY ARE EXPECTED TO GO BEYOND THEIR BASIC FUNCTIONALITY AND PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND SOLUTIONS

WHEN EFFICIENCY MEETS AESTHETICS

Contemporary, serene, decked with clean lines, uncluttered spaces and modern design – bathrooms today are all of this and so much more. It’s a space that has progressed over the years, leading to cutting-edge design for everything – from redefining wellness to creating an aura of experience. And one of the most salient elements that are crucial to any bathroom design is faucets. The material and appearance of a faucet have a huge influence on the other design elements like the colour pattern and small details like door handles, the vanity and the toilet. “Used daily and by every member of the family, the bathroom deserves just as much attention as any other room. Small things can make a huge difference, which is why it’s important to carefully consider the design of faucets you opt for,” avers Serhan Ates Yagiz, country manager, India, VitrA.

There are many design options for a faucet available with retailers and manufacturers alike. But the most important aspect that underlines the selection of a faucet, today, is its water-saving capacity.

EFFICIENCY MATTERS

With water scarcity looming larger than ever before, it is just a matter of time before water-saving fixtures will be made mandatory across all new constructions. There is little doubt that with emerging technologies in water-efficient fixtures, one can reduce daily water use considerably and conserve large volumes of water.

MUSING MUSEUMS

A few months back, when I was in Budapest, I walked into a building that left me awestruck. The inquisitive me went on to explore, and I discovered that it was a museum with pixels on the exterior and that the curved structure of the building dipped underground to form the interiors, even as the garden I was walking on was the green roof of the building that interjected at street level! Woah! I quickly took some pictures and went on to research this building, and the more I read about it, the more I fell in love with it. And then of course I had to share it with you all!
