The ocean is an essential part of the identity of Mumbai, evoking varying feelings in the inhabitants of the city. The Lexus Mumbai located in Juhu takes its inspiration from the various features of Mumbai’s coast. Its fluid façade, with its ribbed parametric undulating surface, mimics the ocean waves, symbolising its stability and strength. The ribs also create a sense of continuity and coherence with the showroom façade below. The polished granite wall reflects the texture of a coarse sand beach, together lending the appearance of a coastline.
