True home-producers shine on board hunters and a hack bounces back after being diagnosed with a bone cyst

AN emotional Lucy Lockwood was the popular winner of the amateur hunter division with her in-form lightweight Chantilly Bojangles.
In 2019, she occupied the same spot with her heavyweight victor, Rossa Dancer (Oscar).
“It turned out to be the last time I ever rode him, as he died shortly afterwards from a rare form of cancer,” said Lucy, who works full-time and produces her horses at home with help from her parents. “He was only six and it was our first proper season together, so when Michael won today, it was as though Oscar was looking over us. It brought back all the emotion of losing him.”
Camilla Stowell Davies and her own Glenkeeran Dance In The Deep stood second and reserve behind Lucy and Chantilly Bojangles.
