The annual farmers’ day at Koppies in the Free State was organised by Northmec and the Cairo Group, the leading supplier of Case IH equipment in South Africa.
The Koppies farmers’ day this year attracted more than 500 farmers from across South Africa. Visitors were treated to product presentations, demonstrations and test drives.
“This type of event provides us with an invaluable opportunity to spend time with our customers and show them first-hand what our equipment can do,” says Johan van der Merwe, managing director of Northmec. “They appreciate being able to operate the machines, and go into the details with our specialists. The day was very well attended this year and the featured machines attracted a lot of interest.”

Case IH showcased its extensive range of tractors, holding displays and demonstrations of models ranging from the 56kW JXT 75 utility tractor, suited to light cultivation, grassland work and speciality crops, all the way up to the mighty 450kW Quadtrac 600.
