Sanctioned by the International Betta Congress, the Philippines Betta World Cup 2017 was recently held at Z Square Mall in Quezon City by Betta Enthusiasts Philippines (BEP) in line with its third anniversary.

There was a total of 1,010 entries to the show, and the number of participants ballooned to 190. Best in Optional form and finnage went to Jonas Subido. Winner of Category Champion Halfmoon was Richard Gomez. Category Champion in Doubletail Halfmoon was Tan Sri of Singapore, while BEP subchapter SOX’s Almar Castro took the Category Champion award in the Halfmoon Plakat.
