FRAIL Barbara Walters has dropped out of sight, triggering fears the legendary TV newsgal is battling fatal Alzheimer’s disease!

The 87-year-old founder of ABC’s The View hasn’t been seen in public for nearly four months — and even skipped the all-girl gabfest’s Nov. 11 episode marking the show’s 20th anniversary.

Now friends are worried Barbara has taken a sudden turn for the worst — and may be at death’s door.

“Barbara just doesn’t seem like herself , a source says .

“She’s had heart issues, head injuries from falls and problems remembering.

“There’s talk she’s suffering from Alzheimer’s. Now with her sudden disappearance from public events, people fear she’s got just three months to live.”

Shockingly, Barbara was a no-show at The View’s celebration marking two decades on the air. The reunion WAS attended by original co-hosts Meredith Vieira, Star Jones and Debbie Matenopoulos. Barbara, who created the show, served as the original host before leaving in 2014. She returned several times after retiring — and shocking on-air memory gaffs raised alarms she was suffering from Alzheimer’s, say sources.
