Two Porsches. 2500km. Five days on the road. We were putting the Porsche 911 Carrera to the ultimate test — to see if it could take on the dust, the heat, the traffic and the roads of India. We were driving from Delhi to Pune, but we weren’t taking the shortest route home. Instead, we charted out a longer drive, taking us through the deserts of Rajasthan, through the hinterlands of Gujarat and then finally in to Maharashtra. Joining the 911 on the drive is the Porsche Macan Turbo. This family SUV has now gone electric, but that has done anything but neuter it — it is more powerful, more capable and more luxurious than ever before. It joins the 911 on this epic journey, as it attempts to take on the vastness of this country, now as an EV.
