It’s that time of the year again, where we bring together the finest enthusiast cars that we have driven over the last year, and hit the road for the ultimate test — evo Car of the Year. We have an incredible line up of contenders this year — there’s Italian exotica in the form of the Ferrari 296 GTB and Maserati MC20, the McLaren Artura and Audi R8 V10 Performance RWD rep the supercars, while sport cars in every shape and size make an appearance — from the humble Toyota GR86, to the mighty Mercedes-AMG SL 55 and the track honed Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. The line-up wouldn’t be complete without a fast sedan, and this year, we’ve got the BMW M4 CSL repping that class of cars. These cars may not compete with each other directly – there’s no way an GR86 will keep up with a Ferrari down a fast road — but this isn’t a story about outright performance. It is about which care delivers that mercurial sensation that is the Thrill of Driving, and there can be only one winner. Which one is it? You’re going to have to read the magazine to find out! The Tata Tiago EV is an all-new car that has serious potential in our market. As for our signature road trips, we’ve taken a whole host of AMGs on a road trip through Gujarat on the AMG Emotion Tour, attempted to scale the mighty Umling La in the Hyundai Tucson and blasted through south India in the Macan GTS. On two wheels, we ride the Bajaj Pulsar P150 and get astride the Continental GT-650R race bike.
