In this issue

Kalachuvadu (March 2014) focuses on the much debated Tamilnadu Govt. attempt to release Rajiv murder accused. The issue is analysed from legal, political and ethical perspectives. Four new tapes released by the AAP, exposing the cover up of the 200 crore 2G money routed to Kalignar TV, are shocking and stunning. What really happened in this case and the cover up of it are now transparent. However the tapes and its implications were not sufficiently discussed in the English media, even less in the Tamil Media. Savithri Kannan, a senior journalist deconstructs the taped conversation. Perumal Murugan share his memories of his grandparents in a nostalgic and touching article. Balu Mahendra and R.A. Padmanabhan’s contribution to Tamil Cinema and Bharathi scholarship are remembered by Theodre Baskaran and A.R. Venkatachalapathy. Shortstory by Vaasanthy and poems by Anand and Perundevi add literary value to this issue.
