The latest edition of AUTO TODAY is here — and it’s absolutely packed. Our cover story this time is the Renault Duster, which is all set to return to India in an all-new avatar. We get up close with the new SUV that is ready to challenge market leaders like the Hyundai Creta and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, among others. We have also driven one of the best-selling compact SUVs in the market, the Tata Punch, which has gone through a facelift. On the other end of the spectrum, we tried out the Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, which promises performance in a 3-row SUV format. Speaking of big SUVs, we also drove the BMW X3 30 xDrive M Sport Pro and came away pretty impressed. When it comes to two-wheelers, the theme this time was largely based on affordability. Hence, we rode the Chetak C25, the entry-level electric scooter from Bajaj. Adding to the theme was the Honda Shine 100 DX, a flashier entry-level commuter from the Japanese manufacturer. Apart from this, we have also commenced the third season of our incredible Drivers of Change initiative. As you read this, a convoy of Mahindra 7XOs is traversing the length and breadth of our vast nation, meeting achievers who are showcasing the X-factor in nation-building. But there is more to the latest edition of Drivers of Change. We are also showcasing cities that are part of the Smart Cities Initiative, that too possess the X-factor.
