F1 descended on Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona, with Mercedes getting things going by unveiling the W03 on the morning of the first day in Spain. Meanwhile, Lotus, the team that was the talk of Jerez with what appeared to be a very nifty E20 chassis for returning Kimi Raikkonen dropped a bombshell in the evening after the first day in Barcelona – in a nutshell the second chassis was faulty and their test was over.
