At just 9 years old, this young girl from the outskirts of Sopore in north Kashmir has caused a storm on the internet with her remarkable cricket skills. Her shots resemble those of a professional batsman, impressively soaring through the air.
Hurmat Irshad Bhat received praise from Sachin Tendulkar after her video went viral on social media platforms.
Sharing her video on X, the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar captioned, “Always good to see young girls playing cricket. Watching videos like these brings a smile to my face.
This rising star has already taken the internet by storm with her cricketing skills and now dreams of representing Team India.
In an interview with India News 7 year-old Hurmat, who is a student at Prime Public School Zaingeer, said, “My grandfather used to take me to the ground where he would help me play cricket.”
She added, “I have been playing with the kids from my village for a long time now.”
Hurmat explained, “I have seen videos of Mithali Raj playing cricket for the Indian team, which really inspired me, and I want to play for Team India one day.”
