Mayor re-elected for historic third term

MAYOR of Penzance Stephen Reynolds has been re-elected for a third consecutive year - the first time this has happened in 60 years.
Receiving a standing ovation at the town council’s 45th annual mayor-choosing ceremony in St John’s Hall on May 19, Cllr Reynolds called it a “great privilege”.
He thanked his fellow councillors, who supported his candidacy unanimously, and told guests at the event: “It's something special being a councillor. I took that step four years ago, and I didn’t know where that journey would lead.
