Double rapist told he will face jail sentence

Warning Liam Kaney told he faces jail when he appeared at the High Court in Stirling

A double rapist who strangled and choked his victims, putting the lives of two women in danger has been remanded in custody and warned he faces certain jail.

Liam Kaney, 23, raped and assaulted his victims at addresses in Bannockburn, in Fallin, in St Ninians and the Raploch district in Stirling and in Sauchie, Clackmannanshire.

One of his victims told a court she had “lost count of how many times she had been strangled” by Kaney over a period of six months.

She said in evidence: “I was mentally and physically tortured.”

She said on one occasion Kaney subjected her to an assault that went on throughout the night.
