Double defeat at the hands of Giants

Glasgow Clan suffered back-to-back defeats against Belfast Giants in the Challenge Cup.

Saturday's trip across the North Channel saw Corey Neilson’s side fall to a 3-1 defeat which was followed up by losing 4-2 at the Braehead Arena 24 hours later.

The two results now see Clan sit third in their cup group - two points behind their Northern Irish opponents - and three points away from Dundee Stars in top spot.

Head Coach Neilson said in the aftermath of Saturday's game that he was looking to bounce back quickly on Sunday.

But that plan soon went out the window when Belfast were quick to open the scoring as Jordan Kawaguchi swept a loose puck into the empty net after Lucas Brine was drawn off his line by a Patrick Grasso shot.

One soon became two when Nicolas Guay then doubled Belfast's lead.
