Decision coming on £6m changes to busiest roads

A decision looms on major £6m changes to some of the busiest roads on the outskirts of Bedworth.

Planning permission was granted to MFP Coventry to build up to 73 dwellings and up to 55,750 sqm of employment/ commercial floor space on land at WilsonsLane/Pickard's Way (B4113) Wilsons Lane in Exhall.
Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council granted the go-ahead with a number of conditions, including working with Warwickshire County Council on works to be carried out on the public highway at Wilsons Lane, on the B4113 Pickard's Way and at the Longford Road Roundabout.
As a result, the developer is set to pay for works for a new ‘left in left out’ (LILO) signalised junction at the future entrance to the development site on theB4113 Pickard’s Way westbound dual carriageway and an emergency access from Wilsons Lane.
