Fire service shares picture of devastating blaze

THESE are the charred remains of a bedroom after a flames tore through a house in the village of Bulkington.

Bedworth Fire Station has shared an image of the devastation.It follows 999 calls on December 23 to report the house fire, and has led the fire service to issue an appeal to the community to make sure they do not face similar heartache over new year.

“The cause was believed to be an unattended candle ina bedroom,” the green watch crew said.

“If using candles, please use them in an appropriate candle holder, never leave them unattended when not in use, ensure that they are fully extinguished after use and keep them away from flammable materials such as curtains and bedding.
