Living the dream after childhood cancer fight

A young songstress is now living her dream music career after beating childhood cancer.

Amy-Louise Carmichael, a 21-year-old musician from Stonehouse, has just completed her first tour across the UK.

Having overcome blood cancer as a child, Amy-Louise has not only got her health but is living out her ambition which saw her nominated as Young Live Artist of the Year in last year’s prestigious Scottish Live Music Awards.

This Blood Cancer Awareness month, she is keen to raise awareness of the disease by sharing her journey in the hope of inspiring others.

And doing her bit, to support fundraising Amy-Louise has raised over £30,000 for Blood Cancer UK since her diagnosis.
