A Motherwell man choked his long-term partner after she asked him to pack his bags and leave.
Regan MclIlmoyle, 25, appeared from custody at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
He admitted assaulting the woman at their home in Watson Street on August 18.
The court heard the couple, who have two children, had been together for four years.
Scott O’Connor, prosecuting, said: “Around 9.30am they had an argument and the accused's partner asked him to pack his bags and leave.
