COUGHLAN CONTENT WITH PILGRIMS' EFFORTS SO FAR

GRAHAM Coughlan is content with the work Boston United have done in the market and on the training pitch so far as preseason gets underway.

He was back on the touchline as Olly Green and Manni Norkett's first-half goals handed Boston a win in their first preseason outing on Saturday afternoon.

The Pilgrims, fielding two different XIs, chalked up a 2-0 win over Lincoln United at Ashby Avenue, courtesy of Green's 19th-minute opener and Norkett's effort 15 minutes later.

Coughlan used 23 players in total, with striker Kieren Donnelly the only senior player not to feature due to a minor injury.

Preseason training has not been plain sailing so far, with the team unable to train at their usual base, but Coughlan is pleased with how the group have responded and bought in with a large number of new arrivals needing to settle.
