Police hunt for woman who 'pushed her baby buggy in path of lorry'

POLICE who were looking to identify a woman who allegedly let go of a buggy, which was then rolled into the path of an oncoming lorry have now spoken to her and investigations are ongoing it has been revealed.

The incident happened on January 5 along the A16 at the junction with Middlegate Road West, Kirton, and as the buggy was struck “a white or pink bundle,” initially believed to be a baby, was seen to fly up into the air, Lincolnshire Police said.

Extensive searches “confirmed that no baby appeared to be in the buggy and no pushchair was left at the scene,” the force added.

Officers have identified the driver and spoken with him, and were “keen to speak with the woman,” a police appeal read.
