There has been for years. It isn't cats. We have too many cats. It isn't books. We have too many books. It isn’t even that she has never learned to drive or claims not to know how the vacuum cleaner works.

No, what is missing is a song. Specifically, a song that is “our song”, a song that brings back memories, a song that sums up our feelings for each other as well as our place in life, the universe and Masterton.

Admittedly, this is a pretty heavy load for any tune to carry, even a song as unspeakably great as, say, Marvin Gaye’s What's Going On, Hank Williams' I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry or Baked Beans by Mother Goose.

Of course, finding a song that sums up our feelings and our place in life, the universe and Masterton is tricky.
