Amy Cope chose to extend her home rather than move from the terraced street she loves so much.
Amy Cope and her husband Phil have two children, Evie and Sonny, and they bought their Victorian terraced home in Darlington, County Durham, in 2007.
‘Back then, it had a small kitchen and three bedrooms, but it had bags of character and a big garden with space to extend. The decor was lovely, but not to our taste, so we were able to put our own stamp on it,’ says Amy.
