India’s biggest jewellery festival is driving record sales this season

The 5th edition of Lucky Lakshmi, one of the biggest nation wide jewellery shopping festival being run by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC), has entered its 4th week.

Informing about region-wise performance of the Lucky Lakshmi Festival Avinash Gupta, Co-Convener, Lucky Lakshmi and Vice Chairman GJC said, "South India being the prime market for gem and jewellery has been in the forefront even in Lucky Lakshmi followed by the Western Region." The West Zone leads with the highest number of registered retailers, while in terms of revenue generation, the South Zone has shown the maximum traction, followed by the West Zone.

When asked about, if the volatile market has been the key challenge for the organizers. He said, "Absoluetly volatile market conditions was a big challenge for the organisors since all the prizes offered were in the form of Silver and Gold." Lucky Lakshmi is giving assured prizes, every customer will get one digital gift voucher worth Rs 200 at the purchase of Rs. 25,000/- worth jewellery. Then on every 75 coupons, 1 Silver Coin of 10 Grams will be given, at every 300 coupons 1 Silver Coin of 50 Grams will be given. For every 600 coupons Gold Coins will be given weekly 5 Gram Gold each which will be 20 in number, so a total 140 Gold Coins of 5 Grams each will be given. Besides, there is a bumper draw for 1 Kilogram of Gold and 4 Regional Prizes of 250 Grams Gold each will be given.

Lucky Lakshmi 2025, in its fourth week, is progressing very well. The overall response from the industry has been highly encouraging.
