POLICE are appealing for anyone with information following reports of racist and anti-immigrant graffiti being sprayed across various parts of the Forest of Dean.
-
In a post on Facebook on Saturday, the Forest of Dean Neighbourhood Policing team wrote: “We're appealing for information following reports of racist graffiti being sprayed across various parts of the Forest of Dean in the past 24 hours.
“Racial slurs have been daubed on road signs around Cinderford, Drybrook and Mitcheldean areas.”
Police have asked for those with any knowledge of the incidents to come forward “so that we can hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
Pictures of some of the graffiti seen by Gloucestershire Live show hateful and threatening anti-immigration slurs painted in road signs.
