Asylum seeker hotel stay pledge

Pete Wishart, MP for Perth and Kinross-shire and SNP Westminster Home Affairs spokesperson, has responded to the UK Government's pledge to end the use of hotels to accommodate asylum seekers. Chancellor Rachel Reeves made the pledge whilst announcing the UK Government's Spending Review.

Mr Wishart said: “The SNP have long been clear that there must be an end to the use of hotel accommodation for housing asylum seekers.
