Community team-up to make a difference to families this year
December 04, 2025
|Strathearn Herald
A vital Crieff festive food bank appeal is back up and running for another year, aiming to help those in need secure a Christmas meal.
The collaboration between Crieff Connexions and the town's community food bank is in its eighth year running, with the two groups working alongside Perth and Kinross Council to identify families who could be left without something on the table during the big day.
For last year’s appeal, around 40 families in the area - accounting for a total of 170 people - received a box full of fresh food and festive treats.
But with the impact of the cost-of-living crisis continuing to bite hard, the organisers of the appeal are bracing themselves for an even busier year and more calls for support.
