Welfare concerns as Martin is left down in the dumps

Rhyse Martin will play against Leeds Rhinos for the first time tomorrow, but only after being left in a dark place earlier this week.

The backrower is free to play for Hull KR after a tribunal hearing threw out a Grade E charge for unnecessary contact with an injured player.

Martin, who has only just returned from a four-month injury absence, was facing a six-match ban for the incident before he was found not guilty.

However, coach Willie Peters admitted the sequence of events impacted the forward and highlighted the recent high-profile disciplinary charges against Martin and Castleford's Liam Horne as welfare issues.
