Whitehead has praised the impact of new Hull KR assistant coaches Ian Watson and Luke Gale during their first preseason with the club.The pair have replaced Danny Ward and Shaun Kenny-Dowall in the off-season, both agreeing two-year deals at Sewell Group Craven Park ahead of the 2026 Super League season.
Ex-England star and 2017 Man of Steel Gale arrived from Wakefield Trinity, having worked on Daryl Powell's coaching staff following his retirement in 2024.
