You have done some commendable work across the metro projects in Mumbai. Can you tell us about the extensive work done?

 We at J. Kumar are proud that we have contributed to the construction of Metro rail in Mumbai. Recently Metro Line 2A and Line 7 were dedicated by Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to Mumbaikars. J. Kumar has undertaken the EPC construction of Line 2A and line 7 comprising of 35km of viaduct and 30 stations constructed in 2 phases. Phase I with 20km of viaduct and 18 stations which were open to the public in April 2022. Phase II of Line 2A and Line 7 comprises 15km viaduct and 12 stations. We have also undertaken finishing and facade works of major stations.

We are confident about our ability to undertake complex project, its timely completion, and delivering quality work to the satisfaction of the client. We completed DN Nagar Metro station of Line 2A (Mumbai Metro) in record time with 285 numbers of precast elements which were launched for three-tier DN Nagar station in just 100 days, which itself is a record.

What were some of the advanced technologies and machineries deployed for these projects?

For the first time in India, we have used straddle carrier of capacity 155 ton for the erection of Pier cap, l-girders, U-girders and other precast station elements in Line 09 (Mumbai Metro).
