A declining population and reduced vocations have affected the Church. Materialism and atheism seem to be the new priorities. In this issue, we feature the Marian devotion of Chinese Catholics and highlight Jimmy Lay’s fight for freedom of religion and conscience. His advocacy has cost him his freedom as he remains imprisoned for opposing the Chinese government's oppression of its citizens.
