Aluth Avurudu or Puththandu, as the festival is known in Sinhalese and Tamil respectively, is a time of ritualistic renewal spread over two days and is the multi-faceted harvest festival of the Island’s two largest communities.

A temple with a rich history that spans back to the time of King Devanampiya Tissa, Isurumuniya recollects a story of love where conventional boundaries were transcended in pursuit of happiness.

Tangalla is a delightful southern town filled with the hustle
and bustle of daily Sri Lankan life. Translated from the Singhalese it means 'projected or extended rock'. The town is built on the rock but is surrounded by some of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful beaches.
