Cleve Cheney wrote a series of articles on tracking for us a few years ago. Some time ago, one of our readers asked if we could publish them again, and I thought that was a good idea, especially before the hunting season begins (p 16). Jackal is a “swear” word to many farmers, and so we all consider them pests. The woman in the office compiled a very interesting and informative article on this topic (p 26). The summer months in our country are always a time to braai, and Ankie Stroebel has a few delicious game meat recipes specially for the braai that she shares with us (p 40). It was around a fire that Willem Pretorius decided to write an article about calibres. We had such a good response to this article that he is now on the third article.
