Conquering Long Bunker Shots

FOR MANY PLAYERS, finding a ball in the sand means immediately reaching for their highest-lofted wedge. But that's not what I recommend for a long bunker shot, a scenario in which you're looking to cover 25 yards or more. For me, depending on the yardage I need to carry, a gap wedge (30 to 32 yards), pitching wedge (33 to 38 yards) or even a 9-iron (45 yards) is a better choice. Why? We want this ball to go farther and come out a bit faster than a basic greenside bunker shot. I highly recommend taking the time to measure these wedge distance ranges for yourself during your next practice session.

Playing music specifically to eliminate distractions or help with tempo breaches Rule 4.3a(4). That said, playing music in and of itself is not a breach but nonetheless should be done with consideration for others.
