In this issue

Although International Women’s Day was last month, we are carrying on the celebration in this issue. Every day should be women’s day and should celebrate the women in our lives who have sacrificed, loved, inspired and contributed to the betterment of society, just like the women in this issue.

Headlining the list of prominent women is the first Filipino Nobel Peace Prize winner, Maria Ressa. The CEO and co-founder of Rappler, a global advocate for press freedom, is one of the most notable journalists today and an international hero. She has brought much pride to the country with this recognition.

We are also proud to unveil this year’s Women of Impact, 32 women who have blazed the trails in different industries from politics to business, entertainment, etc. We welcome Monique Toda, who writes two articles: The Evolution of Maria Clara and Stepping Into a Post-Pandemic World. We also highlight three female chefs and get to know a foundation that helps women break barriers in the tech business. Finally, we introduce Front & Female, a platform that puts out ongoing digital coverage of inspiring women and is committed to telling these stories all year round.
