Punjab: It thrived along five rivers in India and Pakistan. Rich and fertile, Punjab was India’s nursery for the Green Revolution in agriculture and is its largest wheat producer. North East: The northeastern part of the country is less frequented. The region comprising the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.
