In this issue

The Indian summer is back with a bang. The scorching heat of the sun with mercury hovering above 40o C in most Indian cities has made life tough. Arrival of rains would perhaps be the only respite from the sizzling heat. Many of you would have planned a vacation with family to escape the humdrum of everyday life to relax, rejuvenate & unwind. Interestingly such travel also brings with it an opportunity to explore, dream and discover as Mark Twain has beautifully put across.

One such opportunity I got was to meet Chet Cooper, the founder of ABILITY Magazine, USA and an exceptional human passionate to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities across the globe. No wonder, the issue features an extensive interview with Chet Cooper and the work he has been doing for the past 25 years to improve health, utilize human potential and make the world a better place for those living with a disability. As Rick (Humphrey Bogart) says in Casablanca, I am sure this interview with Chet Cooper is just a beginning of a beautiful friendship.

As always, the issue is full of interesting accounts of varied topics of interest to physios from experts across the globe. However, one thing needs a special mention and that is the creative prowess of the Indian Physiotherapists. We had announced a story writing competition in the previous issue and to our surprise, the response has been overwhelming. The quality of the stories submitted is really heartwarming and thought provoking. It was a herculean task for our editorial team to come to consensus and decide the winners. Nevertheless, I congratulate all participants. Keep it up !!!

We shall come up with such exciting contests in future too and I humbly request you all to keep up the momentum and participate with gusto. Participation in such contests would also provide you with an opportunity to showcase your talent on a national platform and boost your confidence.
