Is the NEP 2020 just and acceptable? Is the Ram in whose name a new temple to be built the same one spoken in Indian culture? These are the two sharp questions raised in the latest number of Kalachuvadu. The first one is by well known educationist Anita Ratnam and other one is by eminent Carnatic singer T M Krishna. Tamil translation of an article from Anil Nauria's The African Element in Gandhi adds strength to this number. Alagarasan and Adhavan write on the Ambedkarian   discussion on the social liberation and democracy . Excerpts from Isabel Wilkinsons book on casteism in America translated by Ethiraj Aklan is another delight for thought. S. Ramakrishnan and M Gopalakrishnan contribute stories where as Geetha Sukumaran and Sasikala Devi poems. There is an array of obituaries for the personalities who left the world recently. Tamil critic and author Gnani, Award winning writer Sa Kanadasamy, Theatre director Ebrahin Alkazi and hindustani musician Pandit Jasraj are fondly remembered by Dr. K Panchangam, Komal Anbarasan, Dr.C.Raveendran and A. Paranjothy respectively.
