Highlights of India Today Telugu dated September 25, 2012. It carries Cover Story on the power crunch in the Andhra Pradesh. The story dealt in depth with the present power scarcity situation in the state and pondered about the question, whether AP an unfriendly state to Industries. The story looked at how the industries in the state are increasingly under threat of closure or atleast a cut back in production. Both Medium and small industries are facing crippling problems because of failing power supply, increased and over anxious environmental agitations trying to stall work on pretext or another. Political rivalry and regional disparities are also vitiating the industrial atmosphere. in the state. Few accidents in some industries in recent times have added fear of security among local people. The cover story looked at causes leading to these problems in industries , what the associations like FAPCCI(federation and Andhra Pradesh chamber of commerce and industry) and various SSI associations say about the problems and is state govt is planning to help them in any way.

In this issue a three page report on the deepening trouble for state Congress was also carried. The Congress is increasingly losing its credibility in Andhra Pradesh. While characteristic internal strife has dimmed its reputation, the ruling party is hit by other worries. Two of its ministers have been charge sheeted by the CBI. The power problem has worsened as the anticipated inflows into reservoirs at hydel projects have be inadequate. Local body and municipal elections are delayed. Warring groups are critical of the government\'s policies including the latest on fee reimbursement. The APCC president is at loggerheads with the chief minister. These and other worries that is leading to the Congress taking unpopular decisions are working against the intersts of the party. The story looked at how the Congress is crippled in the state, why legislators and party leaders continue to fight despite of increasing public opposition to government failure in many areas ranging from agriculture to power and what are the strategies these warring groups using against each other to weaken the Congress in the state.

One page stories on increasing suicides in AP and tobacco farmers getting a new lease of life from the Govt\'s latest decision were carried. English special on Humour was carried in Telugu also with guest column by popular satirist Sri Ramana and our cartoonist Narsim. Film review on the latest Telugu release \'Shiridi Sai\', snippets on Television scenario in Andhra Pradesh, Telugu film industry are also there in the issue. News about the film actress Jayapada acting in a Bhojpuri film was carried in Eyecatchers section.
