Highlights of India Today Telugu issue dated February 26th, 2013. The issue carried India Today cover story on the present economic situation of the country with the heading \'End of spending\'. The story depicts how the consumers are buying the least in two years. Incomes are stagnant and there is deep pessimism about the economy. The story looks at the prospects of whether finance minister P. Chidambaram\'s budget reviving the consumer confidence. This cover story has been localised more with the case studies of consumers from Andhra Pradesh. With this localisation, the story has become much more Andhra centric. This issue carried a Big story on Afzal Guru, who has been hanged to death recently. The story shows how this man, who is brain behind the attack on Indian parliament has been hailed by Kashmiris as Martyr. Guest column by senior lawyer in Supreme court Hareesh Salwe made this story comprehensive. A special report on the Maha Kumbhamela and the marvel of engineering arrangements made there was given. In \'Nation\' section, the latest controversy on the Chopper deal of Rs. 350 crores, where the former IAF chief has been said to be involved was dealt in-depth. In \'Nation\' section itself, Rajya Sabha deputy chairman PJ Kurien\'s case of Suryanelli has been written. The increasing number of honour killings in Tamil Nadu and the Dalit angle to it has been coverd in a story on Honour Killings. This story has been accompanied by the column written by Managing Editor Rajeev PI. The recent Oscar nominated singer \'Bombay\' Jayasree\'s profile has been carried. A spcial report on how the bandit\'s khilla Chambal Valley has been turning into development path. In regional section, a special story on Sharmila Reddy, younger sister of the jailed YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan reddy has been carried.
